About Us

Inspired by entrepreneurship and a vision for creating long-term investment opportunities that maximize returns and minimize business, financial, regulatory and market risks, Rowan Oak Funds is a private equity firm specializing in real estate development and operating businesses in the Southern United States. The Fund seeks long-term capital growth by investing in a limited number of assets, opportunities, and existing competitively entrenched companies. We identify as having significant opportunity for capital appreciation through proper planning, vision, and management.

The co-founder of Rowan Oak Funds, R. Julian Allen III, passed away in November of 2012. His business career is a stellar example of success and passion for entrepreneurship. Mr. Allen founded several businesses and investments in a variety of industries including general constructions, real estate development, senior housing, fitness, land mitigation, cellular telephone service, banking, technology, and food.

Mr. Allen’s legacy includes his dedication to mentoring young business people. One of his biggest joys was meeting entrepreneurs, matching them with business opportunities that would make the most of their talents, and then finding a way to provide the capital necessary to make both those young people and their businesses successful.

Rowan Oak Funds continues Mr. Allen’s vision of long-term investments designed to maximize returns and minimize business, financial, regulatory, and market risks.
